Every once in a while you meet a fundamentally decent human being. I just met one and am proud to share a name with him. Captain Dad.
Bob Fuhrman is a retired airline captain whose Captain Dadding days have given way to the joys of granddadding. But that doesn’t mean that he is no longer a man with a mission. Indeed he is a man with many. He is simply no longer active at CaptainDad.com.
So, in an act of unbelievable graciousness, especially on an often rapacious internet, he has handed off the mantle — and handle — of CaptainDad.com. To me, his namesake. Which means that my mission today is to give him a big Captain Dad salute.
Thank you, Captain Dad!
(And, yes, that means you can now visit this very same web site at CaptainDad.com.)

What a lovely gesture! Thank you Captain Grand-Dad!
I can’t believe the resemblance between you two.
Oh, yes, the resemblance is striking. He flew airplanes, I drew airplanes. He has all his hair, I like to imagine I do. He was a real captain, I… um…
Captain Dad and Captain Grandad, two real super heroes who wear their undies on the outside
