Then that might be a sign that you’re getting old. Because the big story was that SAT scores in reading are the lowest in 40 years.
But look at the bright side. When the average dips, it should be easier for your kids to be above average. At least, I think that’s the way it works…

And yet, parents spend thousands of dollars to send their children to those SAT prep classes. SOMEBODY is getting ripped off!
Hi Captain Dad, I agree with your sentiment as a SAHD. It’s tough enough to be a parent and be happy. I choose to allow myself some happiness after all this work. One of the secrets of happiness is to keep expectations in check. Then if your kid meets or exceeds expectations, great!
